Learn HLTAID011 Provide First Aid with Revive Emergency Medical Training with training and assessment delivered on behalf of Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909. Onsite Group Bookings can be made where we come to you at a time and place that suits you.

All of our Instructors are have ambulance backgrounds and teach in a fun and lively way and focus on what you really need to know. We want to focus on as much practical work as possible during the class- all your skills assessments are by demonstration to the instructor, short exam and online pre-course study.

Who should do this course?

This course is suitable for anyone that requires a HLTAID011 Provide First Aid qualification for employment, educational or personal interest. This is also the latest version that replaces HLTAID003 Provide First Aid.

 

Outcome

Successful students will be awarded their Statement of Attainment (Certificate) and be given a First Aid manual to take home.

Enrolment And Pre-course Online Study Requirements

All students will be provided with their own personal online portal space to complete the required enrolment and blended self-paced pre-course study requirements. Most students should allow up to 3.5-4 hours to complete this. Students must also supply a valid USI number.

We also provide a client level portal that allows the client to view and store first aid certificates, check expiry dates for all employees and many more features that can make managing your organisation's first aiders much easier.

The duration of the face to face classroom session is 2.5 hours and the student must be physically able to work at floor level and be able to complete at least 2 minutes of CPR on an adult manikin and complete and review and incident report form. Any student with concerns about the physical or literacy requirements should contact us prior to enrolment to discuss this

Assessment Requirements

Classroom session is onsite at your venue.

Practical assessment by demonstration, observation and oral questions

  • Perform CPR on an adult (incl. the use of an AED and placing a casualty into the recovery position) for at least 2 minutes duration
  • Perform CPR on an infant
  • Complete a first aid incident report form based on the simulated first aid scenario
  • Manage a casualty with anaphylaxis
  • Manage a casualty with asthma
  • Manage a choking casualty
  • Manage a casualty with non-life-threatening bleeding and shock, requiring minor wound cleaning
  • Manage a casualty with a nosebleed
  • Manage a casualty with a fracture and dislocation
  • Pressure immobilisation techniques for envenomation
  • Manage sprains and strains
  • Manage a casualty with envenomation (snake/ funnel-web spider bite)

Minimum group sizes apply with full payment in advance of your course booking. Invoicing on 14 day terms is also available by prior agreement. Refund and cancelation information is detailed in the student handbook.
